Before we get back to our wedding tiara coverage, let's take a breath and head back to England to check out the last day of Hat Christmas, Royal Ascot. (A royal wedding and Royal Ascot on the same day? Could that be one of the seven signs of the Hatpocalypse???)

I believe this is a new hat, and if she still has the receipt, I believe she should return it.  Ugh.  Shiny polka dots?  More Minnie Mouse than majestic!

And I think it's not an accident that the photo site placed it smack dab next to this photo:

A way-too-short mini in a similar print, next to a trash can.  Both prints know now exactly where they should go!

Oh, Sonja.  Not everything has to match perfectly -- the fabric wrapped around the hat is overkill!  How chic would this look with just the white sun hat and the dotted suit?  As is, though, it's got a real '80s/'90s vibe.

Oh, for the love of God.  Bright red, with a brim featuring -- good Lord, is that giant polka dots?  Paired with a fur coat and a dress in exactly the same lipstick red color?

Well, at least she looks like she's having a jolly time...
